Who - Who's Next
Who's Next Review
A mix of old favorites and buried treasures makes this edition of Who's Next a definite must. One of the defining albums of 70s hard rock from one of the 60s most successful bands, the original album includes some of The Who's best-known work, such as the anthemic "Baba O'Riley" and "Won't Get Fooled Again", the by turns sorrowful and angry "Behind Blue Eyes", and perennial favorite "My Wife". The new tracks on this album are equally worth hearing, including "Pure and Easy" (an alternate edition of which is available on Odds & Sods) and the original version of "Behind Blue Eyes". A hard rock classic, Who's Next is required listening for rock fans of all ages. --Genevieve Williams

The Who's best album ever

People talk about Tommy and Quadrophenia, but this is their best album ever.
This CD is loaded with great song ranging from Baba O'Riley to Won't Get Fooled Again, Bargain, Getting In Tune and Behind Blue Eyes to name the highlights.
The Who has always relied on high energy guitar with fast bass lines and fast drums to produce their sound. This album is no different.
What is good about this edition is that they added Pure and Easy from the first solo album Pete Townsend ever did.
You also get Naked Eye from the vinyl CD that was named Odds and Sodds. To top that off you get an alternate version of Behind Blue Eyes and some additional tunes that have appeared on various albums, or that were never released until now.
This is not only the Who's best, but one of the all-time classic albums of Rock.............

One of the more fun and accessible Who albums - chances are you'll love it!

"Who's Next" is one of the better and more accessible Who albums, though not necesarily the most artistic. They definitely perfected their songwriting and hook-crafting skills on this record as one can see with the hits "Baba O'Riley" (better known as "Teenage Wasteland") and "Bargain". Every song here is great, even if they weren't all hits like the first two. The musicianship is still excellent (some of the best I've ever heard) and the band still sounds like The Who, which is always good. Singer Roger Daltrey does an excellent job here, even though he's not the best singer in the world - I think most people will like him (although in the first two songs he slightly walks into cheesiness land). The lyrics, as always, are incredibly interesting, fun to listen to and sometimes even quotable - they are definitely more than a means to make the songs catchier. Overall I think most people will love this album as every song is great and the sound holds up surprisingly well for how old it is. All in all this is highly recommended!

Highlights include:
the entire album!

This Is The Best Who Album Ever!!!!

This is the BEST Who album ever!!! And probably one of the greatest rock albums of all time!!!! They just don't make them like this anymore. This one shows off their writing, producing, and playing and singing talents. Baba O' Riley is a great start to this wonderful CD. The Song Is Over and Behind Blue Eyes are two of my absolute favorite songs by The Who. Going Mobile is another great tune. It was good to hear I Don't Even Know Myself...it was the B-side of an old 45 rpm record that I had many years ago of Won't Get Fooled Again. Buy this CD you won't be sorry and you'll wonder what happened to these guys after this release and Quadrophenia! Their really isn't a bad song on this one!!!!
