Strange Days Review
Even darker than their purple-hued debut, the Doors' follow-up, Strange Days, closed 1967 with an ominous flourish. Highlighted mostly by short, radio-friendly tunes such as the bluesy "Love Me Two Times" and the cabaret-style "People Are Strange" and featuring a smattering of edgy recitations ("Horse Latitudes") and smoky rockers ("My Eyes Have Seen You"), the album features a centerpiece that was another ambitious extended track, "When the Music's Over." On it, Morrison railed at everything from organized religion to pollution, and his rallying cry--"We want the world, and we want it now!"--became a call to arms for the counterculture rising up around the band. --Billy Altman

FIRST OFF IM 18..FROM SUNNY SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA...EAST LOS ANGELES...YES IM MEXICAN...AND I FOUND OUT ABOUT THE DOORS THROUGH MY POPS WHEN I WAS LIKE 2 OR 3 HAHA HE LISTENS TO THEM ALL THE TIME...BUT THAT MADE ME A WICKED DOORS FAN..STRANGE DAYS AND WHEN THE MUSICS OVER ARE THE BEST SONGS ON THIS C.D....AND NOTHING ON THIS CD CAN TOP THE LAST VERSE ON STRANGE DAYS ...

Doors at their best! Buy it!

First off, The Doors are without a doubt the best band probobly ever originated... second this is an absolute masterpeice! Here is a review of all of the songs on here and some comments.

1. Strange Days: Greatest song ever great lyrics and everything I can't say one bad thing about this one. 5/5

2. You're Lost Little Girl: Pretty good but there's better ones on here. 4/5

3. Love Me Two Times: OH MY GOD this one is freakin' great! Awesome guitar playing by Robby! 5/5

4. Unhappy Girl: Great track! Very catchy... very good lyrics! 5/5

5. Horse Latitudes: One of Jim's poems cool sound effects and everything, very psychadelic! 4/5

6. Moonlight Drive: This one is so amazing I just don't know what to say... Let's swim to the moon! 5/5

7. People are Strange: VERY AWESOME! Great guitar, lyrics and Manzarek delivers an amazing Solo! 5/5

8. My Eyes Have Seen You: really cool could have been a bit better but is still really good great job by Krieger! 4.5/5

9. I Can't See Your Face in My Mind: OK a very decent track, but is still great! 4/5

10. When The Music's Over: Mind Blowing! Everybody does great here! Needless to say, an awesome track, TURN OFF THE LIGHT! 5/5

Most Psychadelic Rock Album

This is the most psychadelic rock album and quite possibly, the Doors' best work. It contains five excellently "strange" songs which are: Strange Days, Love Me Two Times, People Are Strange, Moonlight Drive, and When the Music's Over. A must-have for any Doors fan.
