Minor Threat - Complete Discography
Complete Discography Review
Fugazi fans already know that this is the original gospel according to Ian MacKaye. This Washington, D.C., quartet hit harder, faster, and franker than just about anybody--and were willing to see through their own bull as quickly as anyone else's. MacKaye manages to be charismatic and confrontational at the same time: tossing brilliant, genuinely funny asides into his serious-as-a- heart-attack lyrics. Meanwhile, the band, led by Lyle Preslar's staggering guitar attack, pushes MacKaye on with the tightest, most razor-sharp sound in all of hardcore. Nothing in the punk pantheon can come close to "In My Eyes," "Out of Step," or "Salad Days." Absolutely essential. --Michael Ruby

who told you minor threat want to be on mtv? they don't exist from '88 and they don't give a fuck about your opinion they're talentless! they're one of the top 20 greatest bands of all times in all genres without selling many records and without being poseurs of mtv. their music is angular punk/hardcore... so fuck everyone who say anything bad for them.

I Like Punk...But These Guys Are Talentless!!

I've been into punk for quite a long time now, ever since I saw Taking Back Sunday and Reliant K do a killer TRL show together way back in early 2005, I've been true to the punk rebellion cause!! Since all my friends know of my love for punk and harder edged musik in general, they said I should give this Minor Threat band a chance....wow, my ears weren't ready for this junk!! Its just senseless fast noize, with horrible "screaming" that tries to pass for vocals and a guitar player who's way out of tune that plays no memorable hooks!! This album also has really bad production, like it was recorded in someone's shoe closet!! This album is totally not happening for me. Look, if you want good punk and heavy edged musik, stick with proven talent like Fall Out Boy, Hawthorne Heights, Kid Rock, Atreyu, Green Day, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, My Chemical Romance, Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit, Taking Back Sunday, All American Rejects, KoRn, The Used, Linkin Park, Blink 182, and the gods of brutality, Disturbed!! This Minor Threat band should practice more if they wanna get to MTV and TRL status, and they need better production for their recordings too!! Go Bengals!! Who-Dey!!

This is probably my favorite hardcore album (besides various Misfits ones). These guys aren't the wimpy cristian striagt edge guys, they were real hardcore straigt edge. The music is some of the heaviest hardcore out there and i'd reccomend to any fan of the genre. Favorite Songs "Minor Threat" "Steppin Stone"
