Another average Jive Bunny release..............

**Contributor's Note: The track listing on this UK version of "Havin' A Party" differs from the European version. However, the difference is only one or two megamixes - and this doesn't spoil the album any **

If the original party animal had still been releasing singles (when this CD was released anyway), "Havin A Party" would definitely have been an a collection of B-Sides. In other words, this is an extremely mediocre album.

And mediocre is the operative word here folks. You can't fault the mixing qualities, after all, 'Music Factory' (those behind Jive Bunny) are amongst the best in the business. Even so, mixing a collection of rock n' roll and 1960s classics that have been sampled beyond saturation point on past Jive Bunny albums - coupled with the below-par session singers used to re-create these 'hits' - makes "Havin A Party" something of a 'yawn-fest'.

It's not all rock n' roll though. The Master Mixers experiment with Disco, SKA and believe it or not, they even dabble in Country Music too! (Which is rather good: classic country tracks from the 70s re-done to sound like 90s club/dance music). However, this is only one highlight from an otherwise dull CD.

At least the CD is bargain-priced. However, there's other - and far better - inexpensive Jive Bunny CDs available from Amazon that are far superior to this below par effort. "Havin A Party" is really for fans of Jive Bunny only.
