Freddie Hubbard is one of the rare trumpeters to keep playing with the same talent as when he played for Blue Note, which is admittedly a long time ago and an era not to be forgotten. Every tune sounds so good and refreshing that one can barely spend one whole week without playing the whole album.

i also found another hubbard album-now-cd when searching the stacks at amazon.com. it's Outpost, with freddie, kenny, buster williams on bass and al foster on drums. it's short by cd standards, but has a very nice tune, "dual force" penned by buster. and a nice slow version of "you don't know what love is", one of my favorite tunes.
