Really solid effort. Great bargain for the price (2 full discs, not one and a bonus dvd no one uses).
For those bitching about not being able to burn this - who cares. Enough. I hate the ipod crew of kids.

Not the Foos at their best but worth it for the acoustic tracks

The foos brand of alt-pop starts to sound a little bit recycled on the "heavy" album, with songs like "The deepest blues are back" sounds exactly like their early "Floaty" (a better alternitive) and "The last song" might as well be "Wind Up" mixed with "Hey! Johnny Park" (both also better alternitives.) The best songs on the heavy disc are "DOA" and the title track.

However The acoustic disk is a completely different story, almost every track on here is fantastic, in the vain of "Marigold" ( a nirvana b-side on which Dave Grohl first sang ) Each song is a beatiful ballad and probably not great for fans of songs like "Stacked Actors" or their debut album. The only low points on the acoustic album is the boring razor and friend of a friend (a song about Kurt Cobain.) both dissapointing efforts compared to the brilliance of songs like "Another Round". The songs are a vehicle for various guest artists such as John Paul Jones, Norah jones and Drummer Taylor Hawkins steps up to the mike for "cold day in the sun" which isn't a bad effort, but he's no dave grohl.
