Ok this CD came out BEFORE under the cork tree came out and i LOVE this CD with a passion.. under the cork tree sucks compared to this CD because this CD is when Fall Out Boy was not a bunch of emo sappy whiners like they are now. when this CD came out me and my friends were almost the first to buy it and somehow some people believe that this CD came out AFTER under the cork tree.. so this just proves how stupid some people really are.. but anyway.. yeah you should buy this CD because its better than any crap thats on the Radio.

Catchy, but can get a little tiresome

Don't get me wrong, I like Fall Out Boy. The songs are also catchy, but as you proceed through the disc they sound the same. When I listened to the sample of "Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy," I was very enticed by the guitar. The guitarist has a lot of energy and the drummer does to. But the singer sounds the same all the time :-/. Here is what I think of each song:

Tell That Mick He Just Made My List Of Things To Do Today 4/5
One of the better tracks featured on this album, starts with a phone sound and then goes into the rock. This song is a little hot, but the lyrics don't quite fit.

Dead On Arrival 2/5
The opening was good, but the singing threw it off. The guitar saves it barely.

Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy? 4/5
I love the opening verses/chorus, but then what comes after it just isn't rocky enough. The guitarist was awesome.

Saturday 2/5
This is obnoxious. One of my least favorite tracks on the album. The singer keeps repeating "Saturday" over and over again.

Homesick at Space Camp 3/5
I had to skip past this one, it was boring. I just couldn't listen to it but the drums were good.

Sending Postcards from a Plane Crash (Wish You Were Here) 4/5
I didn't mind this one, but he did that repetitive song title thing again. "Wish you were here" is all he said in the middle of the song.

Chicago is so Two Years Ago 2/5
The lyrics are too exaggerant which throws everything off.

The Pros and Cons of Breathing 4/5
This to me is like a companion track to the Patron Saint of Liars and Fakes. Decent.

Grenade Jumper 5/5
This one was awesome, it grew on me. I loved it.

Calm Before the Storm 5/5
Another strong point on the disc, I loved this one too.

Reinventing The Wheel To Run Myself Over 1.5/5
I hated this. It was short and I was glad it was over. In fact I switched the track before it got to 1:00. WEAK.

The Patron Saint of Liars and Fakes 3/5
This one was decent. That's all I can say. I don't think it was the best closing track for an album like this.

Overall Grade: 6.5/10
Sorry, but some of this stuff just didn't fit. Sounded too similar. Well, I suggest their new album. I thought that was a little better. :-)

Don't hate the fact you like this album..

This album is a good album, despite what all you doubters out there think. The melodies are good, the riffs are fast and catchy, the lyrics thoughtful and while it's not been spectacularly produced, it is still a good album. While we know everyone out there isn't going to like this, I can't understand all the anti-FOB material in the reviews. If you genuinely dislike this band, then don't listen, sell the CD, and most of all, don't write a damn review about them. If you hate the fact that you like this album, don't, for the reasons I have listed. If, on the other hand, you dislike it because you don't want to be seen liking pop-punk (which this album is not, anyhow) or emo, then grow up. More of the same, please, Fall Out Boy.
