I've been listening to Earl Thomas for many years now. This is his first album that has hit the big time. He has a very soulful voice with a great range. I've enjoyed all of his music, but this CD is one of the best by far. "I Won't Be Around" is one of my favorites. "Stronger Than My Flame" is a good sample song if you're looking to try him out. Seeing Earl Thomas perform over the weekend was a pefect complement to the Hi Records compilaton I have been listening to recently. Thomas is a compelling live performer, in the style of Al Green, and that alone should make people buy this album. He believes what he is singing and his intelligent conversation with the audience between songs was quite refreshing.Strong band, back-up singers. I'd go see him again.
