Marvellous, classical-oriented work.

What a marvellous score this is. Ranging from all kind of emotions, from sad and melancholic to uplifting and to intense dramatic pieces, we find many elements deriving mainly from classical period, with beautiful and well-constructed piano and violin sonatas with the former intensely bringing L.V.Beethoven's marvellous compositions to mind. The score is also enriched with Baroque and Renaissance musical elements, and even subtle, slow and sad sting adagios with a wonderful sound. Pride and prejudice is a work of rare (for our days) quality and brilliance and it's recommended to everyone who'd love an intelligent, melodic and well-worked classical-oriented score of varying moods.

Trailer Theme?

Does anyone know what piece of music is being used in the most recent American trailer for Pride and Prejudice where they mention Kara's Golden Globe nomination? It's a beautiful piece of music and I think I've heard it before somewhere else.

Oscar Worthy!

After having seen the movie twice, (and who pays to see a movie twice nowadays?) I had to get this soundtrack! It is simply wonderful. Listening to each track is like imagining each scene over again. After seeing the movie the first time on opening night several people in the audience were commenting on the wonderful music, on how 'lovingly-haunting' it was. This music was going to stick with us for days we all agreed. The music simply immersed you, it surrounded every scene perfectly. Favorite tracks, well, hard to pick just one, "A Postcard to Henry Purcell" is violin magic. "Darcy's Letter" almost makes me cry, but a good cry. "Your Hands are Cold" is simply astounding music, you can see Darcy and Elizabeth together and feel the love. It is worthy of an Oscar nomination!!
