Nite with Daddy G

Superb Music....there is and has been no other group who can make sounds like Daddy G and the Church St. Five. Too bad the "oldies" stattions give them no airplay.I enjoyed these now just as much as I did back in the early 60's. In fact, I don't think I've heard them since then! Even my teenage son and his friends sat up and payed attention when they first heard this CD.

Hard Rocking Instrumental Soul

Daddy G and the Church St. 5 could hold their own wiht James Brown's JB's, Booker T. and the MG's. Jr. Walker's Allstars, the Earl Van Dyke Six, and any other great Soul Instrumental band of the 60s. The hard-rocking title cut is the inspiration for Gary US Bonds "Quarter to Three" (which the CS5 backed up). "Monkey USA", "DC Shuffle" and all the rest are great, but check out the beautiful unreleased "When I'm With You." The perfect song for when the sun goes down.
