Welcome Back, Old Friend!

I grew up with the original Columbia 2-record set of this album, and although I realize a lot of this stuff is marginal and over-arranged compared to Cab's earlier work, it still holds a special place in my heart. I was thrilled to see this collection back in print. Even without the memories, Cab fans and swing fans in general will love this.
It took almost a month to arrive here from Italy but was worth the wait to hear such great tracks as "Nagasaki" (perhaps Cab's best recorded scat ever), "A Chicken Ain't Nothing But A Bird" and "San Francisco Fan" again. There's also a few tracks here that weren't released on the original album.
WARNING: The cover painting is extremely cheesy and some butthead jazz snob wrote the liner notes -- which, unbelievably, insult Cab as a novelty act several times -- in ridiculous broken English.
The packaging isn't the important thing though: let the music speak for itself and you'll soon be spazz dancing with joy from these jumpin' sides!
