Billie Holiday - BD Jazz
BD Jazz Review
BD Jazz is a new label which offers listeners an introduction to some of the greatest jazz musicians of our time through a two disc set of their most-loved songs. Additionally, a 16 page illustrated book is included, which offers an insight into their lives and music. This specially formatted piece is a must-have for jazz fans as well as jazz neophytes trying to learn about the genre.

Born Eleanora Fagan Gough on April 7th, 1915 in Philadelphia, PA, Billie Holiday is perhaps the most revered vocalist in all of jazz music. Songs like "God Bless The Child" and "Strange Fruit", are moving classics. Even though a hard life of drugs, alcohol and depression led to Holiday’s early demise in 1959, her music lives on, and sounds just as vibrant and warm today as it did then.
