Backstreet Boys - Millennium
Millennium Review
For their hard-core under-18 fans, of course, the Backstreet Boys are all that, and a bag of chips and free soda to boot. Millennium, the follow-up to the quintet's umpteen-million-selling debut, offers more reasons why so many of the rest of us have found a place for them in our hearts. The Boys' ultrapackaged look and up-to-date production underscore the quality of their best tracks; only a churl could deny that "I Want It That Way" is one fine radio-aimed declaration of love, or that "Larger Than Life" makes the most of its Daft Punk sample and double-edged acknowledgment of Backstreet followers' loyalty. And who can resist an album-closer like "The Perfect Fan," Brian Littrell's ode to his mom? --Rickey Wright

OK, but the Backstreet Boys could do a little bit better

This is a good CD. Not the Backstreet Boy's best album, but by no means bad. It has quite a few good songs, such as my favorite, the ever famous Larger Than Life and the runner up, I want it that way. In between, it has many other good songs that show love or hate for a girl they had a relationship with, all with perfect beats and very interesting lyrics. It has a couple of bad songs, though, such as Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely and The Perfect Fan, both of which I find wimpy and sorta irritating, and that's why it gets 4 stars instead of five, but it is great nonetheless & if you like boy bands and/or love songs, you should buy this. It's for all ages, too.

This definitely NOT JOSEPH. I am his oldest DAUGHTER. (my dad hates BSB.)

Even though this about 5 years later, this CD is still going strong with millions and millions of Backstreet Fans. I LOVE THIS CD TO DEATH (I'm listening to it as I write this!). And now I will review each song.

1. Larger Than Life: 10/10. This song is great! Great rhythm and a great songs for the fans! Brian Littrell (B-Rok) co-wrote this song!

2. I Want It That Way: 10/10. Classic song for BSB. Catchy rythm and GREAT vocals by Brian.

3. Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely: 100/10! One of my favorite songs on the album. It's sad, but it's beautiful at the same time. The Spanish Guitar sends chills down your spine and sort of brings a warmth into your heart.

4. It's Gotta Be You: 100/10! Another one of my favorite songs on the album. GREAT vocals by AJ and STUNNING vocals by Brian, especially, when he hits the "yeah!" towards the end of the song.

5. I Need You Tonight: ONE MILLION/10! My second favorite song on the album. Nick's voice is sooooo beautiful. The music is beautiful too and it's such a sweet song. It used to be called "Heaven In Your Eyes" and that was never put on a CD But performed at concerts by Nick. Definitely worth repeating again and again and . . . well. . . you get the idea.

6. Don't Want You Back: 10/10. Good break up song.

7. Don't Wanna Lose You Now: 100/10! Good song. Nick Carter did the additional vocal arrangements. Excellent choice. (lol)

8. The One: 10/10. Great beat reminds me of an uptempo version of "I'll Never Break Your Heart."

9. Back To Your Heart: 100/10! Beautiful song which Kevin co-wrote. I love it. The music is so pretty and the lyrics are heartfelt.

10. Spanish Eyes: 100/10! This song grew on me. The lyrics are very pretty and the music is nice.

11. No One Else Comes Close: ONE MILLION/10! This is my favorite song on the album. It's so beautiful. My aunt told me that BSB remade it. GREAT COVER. The music is beautiful and so are AJ and Nick's vocals. My favorite part is Nick's verse (go figure . . . lol).

12. The Perfect Fan: 100/10! This song is GREAT! Brian co-wrote it. The VOCALS ARE BEAUTIFUL and the choir sounds great!!!!

In conclusion, people BUY THIS CD!!!!!! You won't regret a penny.

Signed,

Mrs. Nick Carter

P.S. To the spotlight reviewer who wrote "I'm Glad Their Fifteen Minutes Of Fame Are Up", BSB has been around for YEARS. And now they're back with their album "Never Gone".

So, you're a LOSER.
